Hi! I'm Serena, a native Italian teacher based in Rome.
My passion for the Italian language began on my very first day of primary school and has only grown stronger over the years. As I discovered more about Italy's history, literature, art, regional cultures, and linguistic diversity, I realized that learning Italian means discovering a fascinating world and a fascinating language.
I'm also a passionate traveler. Exploring and loving other countries and cultures has helped me appreciate my own culture from new perspectives, making me an even more curious and open-minded teacher.
I speak English and Spanish, so I can use them whenever needed to support your learning. Having learned foreign languages as an adult myself, I understand the challenges, doubts, and small victories that come with the process. That's why I strive to create lessons that are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs.

My teaching approach is Communicative and Intercultural: my experience showed me that it's easier to learn languages by using them in meaningful, real-life situations and by discovering the culture they belong to.
From the very first lesson, you'll be encouraged to communicate in Italian. Mistakes are seen as a natural and valuable part of the learning process, helping you to gain confidence and fluency in a safe environment.
Grammar, vocabulary, and cultural aspects are introduced through authentic and engaging materials such as films, literature, music, traditions, travel, news articles, and other real-life resources.
Every course is fully tailored to your interests, goals, language level, and learning style, making each lesson both effective and enjoyable.
