Riguardo Alessandra
Growing up with six younger siblings, I have been teaching since I was young.
I love exploring the world, and its various languages and approach my teaching with a learner's perspective. Before living in Italy I lived in France, and have also spent time in the Netherlands.
Before becoming an ESL teacher, I suffered through lots of boring, scattered, language lessons. I always wondered, why do teachers throw loads of boring grammar lessons at you without context? Why is the vocabulary we learn useless for our every day life?
When I became an ESL teacher, I vowed to be different. Grammar and structure are important, but they need context. Music, video games, novels, text messages, you name it, we will use it to make English accessible and, after some time, second nature to you!

I focus on integrating language structure and grammar into lessons in an interesting, engaging way.
I target the lessons to your objective - do you want to improve your English for travel? Work? School? Our first lesson will assess what you want to achieve, and what strategies work best for you.
I speak Italian, French, and Dutch as well, but prefer to use an "immersion" approach in my lessons, using only English unless it is necessary.
Using the Cambridge CELTA approach, I incorporate reading, writing, speaking, and listening in proportion to the student's needs.
