Riguardo Rodin Calvin
I am an experienced Mathematics educator with more than 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience in Cameroon and Thailand. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from the University of BUEA and am currently completing an MSc in Greening Energy Market and Finance at the University of Bologna.
I have taught Mathematics and Further Mathematics to secondary and high-school students, including Grades 7–12, and have extensive experience preparing students for examinations. I served as a Cameroon GCE Board A-Level Further Mathematics Examiner from 2010 to 2013 and have also worked as a Mathematics tutor for approximately six years with students attending the American School of Douala.
My international teaching experience includes ten years of Mathematics teaching in an English-medium school in Thailand, as well as earlier Mathematics and Science teaching in Thailand. I am comfortable supporting students individually or in small groups and adapting explanations to different levels of ability.
I would be pleased to support students in Mathematics, examination preparation, homework, study skills and academic problem solving.

Teaching techniques and methods: Student-centered instruction, Conceptual explanation, worked examples, problem-solving, guided practice, differentiated instruction, interactive questioning, and formative assessment.
Typical lesson structure: Review of previous work → introduction of concept → explanation and worked examples → guided exercises → independent problem-solving → correction and feedback → summary.
Teaching specifics: Simplifying complex mathematical concepts, demonstrating step-by-step solutions, developing logical reasoning, identifying misconceptions, adapting exercises to students' levels, and connecting mathematics to practical applications.
