Riguardo Denis
I’m a native English speaker from Ireland and a TEFL certified teacher, based in Rieti. I’m also currently learning Italian, so I understand first hand what it feels like to learn a new language, search for the right words and build confidence when speaking.
For over 15 years, I worked in customer service and support roles, communicating with people from all over the world every day. I’ve spoken with people from many different countries, cultures and backgrounds, and I understand that feeling confident in English comes from actually using it, not just studying it.

Do you understand English but sometimes hesitate when it’s your turn to speak? Maybe you know what you want to say, but can’t find the right words quickly enough. Or perhaps you simply need more opportunities to practise speaking with someone in a relaxed, friendly environment.
Our conversations will focus on real life English rather than traditional classroom style lessons. We can talk about your interests, work, travel, family, hobbies, everyday life, or whatever you enjoy. I’ll encourage you to speak, share your opinions, ask questions and express yourself naturally, while helping you improve along the way.
Maybe you’re planning to travel, thinking about moving abroad, starting a new job, communicating with international colleagues, or simply want to feel more comfortable chatting with friends and family in English. Whatever your reason, we can make our conversations relevant to the situations you’re likely to experience.
You don’t need perfect English to have a great conversation, and you shouldn’t be afraid of making mistakes. I’ll gently help you improve while keeping the conversation flowing, so you can gradually become more comfortable and confident speaking English.
