Riguardo Alex
As you young people grow to adulthood, you must learn how to take your place in the society of tomorrow. You must learn the meaning of service. Serve those around you, work for the common good, strive to give the best in you to the rest of us, for then we shall all succeed. And when the road ahead is not clear, beware! There will be those among you who will use your uncertainties and fears to their own ends. Then is the time to think. Have the courage to say what you think, and think what you say. Be true to yourself.
This world you have entered is full of difficulties. The coming unemployment of millions of its citizens; automation and computerization in factories, offices and in your homes; the control and distribution of your world’s resources. You and your contemporaries around the world must seek new ways to friendship or face self-destruction. But no one will do these things for you. Your capacity to develop rests finally on you alone. But if you have the courage to stand up by yourself, to face life with imagination, and be prepared to understand and to serve others, I am sure you shall succeed.
