Riguardo Kayina
Hello! I'm Kayina, a passionate educator and current PhD candidate in Education. I hold a Master’s degree in Child Development and Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology. Originally from China, I’ve been living in Italy and across Europe for over seven years, which has given me a broad, multicultural perspective.
With over 10 years of experience specializing in early childhood education, I began my career as an English teacher and course designer in China. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of teaching children, adults, and seniors from all over the world, both in classroom settings and online. I especially enjoy working with learners who bring curiosity, creativity, and an open mind to the learning process—at any age!
I’m also skilled in IELTS exam preparation. I self-prepared for the exam and achieved an excellent score, and now I help others reach their target bands using proven strategies, personalized practice materials, and a supportive, confidence-building approach.
In daily life, I speak English more than my native language and frequently engage in intercultural conversations with people from various backgrounds. I am professionally trained in early childhood education and psychology, with a strong academic background and hands-on teaching experience focused on supporting children's language development. I’ve developed a strong sense of patience, adaptability, and warmth—which makes me fun and easy to work with.

For beginners
I use carefully selected textbook materials designed to build listening, speaking, reading, and basic writing skills. In my lessons, I use role-play, fun projects based on what you're interested in, helpful visuals, regular reviews, and plenty of repetition—plus other engaging activities that make it easy and enjoyable for beginners to pick up new concepts.
Conversationalist
I specialize in conversational learning that feels relaxed yet purposeful—like learning with a friend, but guided by a professional. My lessons are highly personalized: after discussing your goals during the trial lesson, I prepare customized study materials using high-quality textbooks, interactive websites, and authentic conversation topics suited to your level and interests.
Each session typically includes:
- A warm welcome and a quick review of what we covered in the last lesson;
- A flowing conversation and engaging reading (using fun, professional materials) where we explore new vocabulary and grammar;
- A short recap and mini quiz to reinforce key points;
- A Q&A session to clear up any questions or doubts;
- A personalized lesson note afterward, summarizing new vocabulary, common mistakes, feedback, useful tips, and optional homework for extra practice.
IELTS Preparation
For those preparing for the IELTS exam, I offer focused and practical support. I scored a 7.5 (C1) on the IELTS through self-study and now help students achieve their goals using the strategies and materials I’ve refined over time.
I’ll guide you through each section of the exam with:
- Detailed lessons targeting Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking;
- Official practice materials and mock test questions;
- Lesson notes and tips are provided after each lesson;
- Step-by-step guidance, including tips for test day;
- Personalized feedback and targeted improvement strategies.
