I LOVE learning languages! I speak English, Dutch, Italian, decent french and plan to start Arabic lessons soon. Languages are so much more than words; they form the backbone of a culture! Whatever the reason may be that you ended up here, learning a language is extremely enriching. I see it as my mission to make the exploration an exciting one. (:

After hearing what you hope to learn, we decide together whether the focus is on speaking, writing or a mixture of the two. The material we'll discuss depends on the student. For example, if the student is preparing for a job in english, we might practice presentation, documentation, correct ways to start or finish an email and handy rules for clear communication. But if the student is preparing for a university exchange, casual communication deserves at least as much attention. I have worked with kids as little as five years old, with ladies in their seventies and many students inbetween. Learning methods are extremely personal, but one rule goes for all: you learn best when actively involved in the subject. I always try to find something that makes my lessons feel like your lessons.
