• What made you passionate about this language? Family origins, personal interest, an inspiring teacher or maybe a great love?

  Upon completing my Law degree, I sought to work for Preply and Cambly Online Institute of English where professionalism developed an interest in me to pursue teaching English. I then decided to immigrate to South Korea where I taught English at an adult academy, I explored and expanded my horizons mostly my experiences and my ability elevated then I realised I was meant to be an English teacher that was then I realised I had a great passion for English.

• Which character, historical or invented, do you think fully represents the culture linked to this language?

  The historical culture of English propels for 'a human is a human by other humans' which interpretatively refers that, we should have sympathy and extend our hands thoughtfully in helping others and treating them equally as human beings. We should not be cynical nor selfish, but be considerate of others at all times.

• Is there a word, expression, tradition or cultural habit that amuses you or makes you laugh?

  An expression that cracks is 'You eat what you swallow' which means that whatever you choose to embark on will have the consequences on you, not others.

• Why is it important for you to speak this language?

  I was able to travel to more than 9 countries without language barriers, interacted with locals and shared cultural insights without any hindrances. As most countries are bilingual or at least transforming, this language helps bring us together irrespective of our different backgrounds hence it is important for me to speak English, to connect with others from abroad.

• What, in your opinion, is the most difficult characteristic encountered in learning this language?

  Understanding both formal and informal English has always been a challenge, transitioning from one's original expressions and grammar rules to that of English also propels the challenges. English has plenty of ambiguous words, sentences, homographs and homophones etc which in other languages do not exist which then fuels the challenge to learn English even worse.

• Tell us a funny or special anecdote related to your education or a lesson experience

  During my lovely lesson about grammar, I decided to introduce a game to make the learning process more engaging, I divided the class into teams and created a fun quiz where they had to identify different parts of speech in a sentence. Everything was going smoothly until I read out a sentence that was intentionally tricky. It was something like this: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" I then asked the students to identify the verb expecting them to quickly pick out "jump" however, to my surprise, one of the enthusiastic student picked 'over' the class went on with laughters and I also chuckled at the student's creative interpretation which reminded me that, learning should be fun and made a dynamic experience.

• Help us get to know you better: tell us about your passions, your travels, your hobbies!

  My passion lies within educating others and having fun with the language. I was hired as an International English teacher in South Korea at an adult academy, I was awarded best teacher for my well-rounded skills I brought to the academy. I enhanced my teaching skills and most importantly my approach which was to make learning a fun adventure for my students. I then moved to work in another place where I taught at a kindergarten academy, I had the joy of developing little kids from an early age and exploring the wonderful adventures English language learning had to offer. I created very fun and interactive lessons for my students to keep them suspenseful about learning this language enthusiastically, interactively and impressively. I then moved to work and live in Quang Ngai in Vietnam where I taught all the age levels until to corporate level, I interacted and applied my skills to fully develop my professional sense of experience to deliver incredible lessons. I then moved to another city Ho Chi Minh to work at a university, here is where I have expanded my English horizons even further and I was awarded with the best teacher of the year certificate for being very creative and enthusiastic.

• What makes you a true Superprof, besides the ability to speak and express yourself in multiple languages?

  I am a true superprof because I fully consolidated and aligned my abilities with the scope of SuperProf's objectives and goals to put the needs of the students at the forefront, seeking to serve the interests of students with guarantees and assurances. I am a true superprof because I believe in tendering hope to those willing to eleveate their skills with my expertise and with the directives and scope of SuperProf's directions.
