Hi there! I’m a full-time native Italian tutor, language and foreign cultures enthusiast, I have a bachelor degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation, I've been tutoring adults online from all over the world for 3 years now and I’m currently studying to become a qualified Italian teacher to foreigners.
I’ll help you achieve the native speaker’s accuracy and fluency we all constantly struggle for (and that just seems out of reach!), by approaching the language in a whole new way: authentic, inspiring and….fun!
My experience in language education refers to the tutoring I've given students of all ages and levels over time. My studies also led me to learn about the adults' world and their ways of internalizing new information when it comes to foreign languages. During my University study case, I had the chance to design an English course for absolute-beginner seniors, which was revealed to be the litmus test of the approach effectiveness I'd been working on up to then.
I prefer to be seen as a facilitator of learning rather than a teacher, for my aim is to support others in their journey of language exploration by providing tools and offering expertise to raise consciousness of the new language system.
I firmly believe the learner is the cornerstone of the whole learning/teaching experience. That’s why my lessons are tailored to each student's interests and needs but nonetheless they’re the product of my consistent work on the approach I’ve been specializing on for years now and the more academic/scientific knowledge on languages, that comes from my lifelong education and my current studies on Italian teaching to foreigners in order to be qualified too.
I love traveling and making new connections with people, discovering new things, cultures and traditions; I simply adore animals; I'm really fond of music, languages and all that concerns self-development as well as the holistic world.

The approach I favor is a communication-oriented approach and it is still relatively unknown. It is primarily oriented towards oral proficiency development as well as contextual and situational communicative exchange.
The information processing is inductive, whereby the learner discovers a new language system from a clear, understandable and authentic input, not passively applies rules given by a book or a teacher.
The method differs markedly from the PPP cycle, that is the most widespread and used by traditional didactics.
The key concept of this approach is that language is not a collection of individual units (vocabulary) to be fitted into a set of fixed, immutable rules (grammar) as if it were a kind of mathematics or, worse, a boring, dichotomous system. This view of language is now to be considered as old-fashioned and invalid, since it is clearly not helping thousands of students around the world master a language in a natural, effective and, above all, probable way.
The techniques are the most varied but mainly oriented to dialogue and conversation, to the conversational turns proper to each language, to the appropriate linguistic register for each practical context of real life, to daily situations and the everyday contexts where the language is applied, to humor and culture, which is the source from which the language derives and that's what makes each one unique and arbitrary.
Thus, ample space will be given to online videos, TV series, films, music, podcasts, and anything that reflects the real, probable Italian language spoken nowadays but constantly evolving at the same time.
