Riguardo Sonia
Ciao! I'm an Italian language teacher with over 10 years of international teaching experience and a CEDILS certification in teaching Italian as a foreign or second language.
I've taught Italian in Beijing, Paris and Italy, working with students from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
My academic background is in Languages and Oriental Civilizations, and my professional experience combines language education, intercultural communication and creative learning methodologies.
As an illustrator and educator, I'm particularly interested in the relationship between images, storytelling and language learning. I integrate visual resources and narrative activities into my lessons to help students develop their communication skills in a natural and engaging way.
I speak English, French and Mandarin Chinese, which allows me to understand the challenges of learning a foreign language and support students from different backgrounds.
For me, teaching Italian is not simply about explaining a language. It's about creating a space where students can express themselves, discover Italian culture and build meaningful connections through communication.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you find your own voice in Italian!

Learning a language is much more than memorizing grammar rules and vocabulary. It's about discovering new ways to express yourself, share experiences and connect with others.
My Italian lessons combine conversation, storytelling, visual materials and creative activities to make learning engaging, meaningful and enjoyable.
I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and learning a new language gives us another way to tell it.
What can you expect from my lessons?
Personalized learning: lessons designed around your interests, language level and personal goals.
Conversation and communication: practical activities to help you speak Italian naturally and confidently.
Grammar in context: clear explanations and exercises connected to real-life situations.
Visual storytelling: photographs, illustrations and creative prompts to stimulate conversation and develop vocabulary.
Italian culture: an exploration of traditions, everyday life, art and contemporary Italian society.
Creative expression: opportunities to use Italian to share your experiences, ideas and personal stories.
Whether you're learning Italian for travel, work, cultural interests or simply for the pleasure of speaking a new language, I'll help you develop your skills at your own pace.
My approach is student-centered, supportive and creative. I aim to create a relaxed environment where you feel comfortable experimenting with the language, making mistakes and gradually finding your own voice in Italian.
Let's discover Italian together, one story at a time!
