• 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

  1. My passions for music started when I was 8 years old. I remember I got the main solo part as a singer in the final school showcase and That was the first time I sang in front of an audience. I liked that so much that I started taking singing lessons straight away and I went then into Musical Theatre. And that passions has become my job and my life.
  I play piano, but I would say my favourite instrument is my voice!

• 2) Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

  2. Yes there is. I have a proper passion for Latin American Music because my parents have been dancing and teaching Salsa since I was little, so I've grown up with that. For this reason, my favourite Musical is In The Height: I know its whole soundtrack and it has already happened to listen to it three times in a day!

• 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

  3. The most difficult part of a course is to make students feel confident with their own singing! That's the most difficult but most beautiful part of my teaching! It's amazing to see how much their confidence improve during the lessons and how much their voices grow at the same time!

• 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

  4. I don't really know about instruments as I only play piano. But I do know that voices are a very difficult and challenging instruments. As muscles themselves we really need to know how to treat and use them at their best!

• 5) What are your keys to success?

  5. Confidence, don't be afraid to go wrong, believe in the teacher you choose!

• 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

  6. I dream of meeting Lin Manuel Miranda, writer of In The Heights.. I think he's a genius in what he has written, and I believe I could faint if I met him!
  I also dream of meeting Norah Jones, beautiful singer and pianist, with such a great sound and melody in her songs.
  And dream of meeting one of the best Italian singers of all times I think, Giorgia (yes, like my own name!!) because I think she has got the perfect technique that a singer needs, and I would like to use her as the perfect example!

• 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

  7. So as I said In The Heights is my favourite musical: I like that so much that when the show was in London West End a few years ago I saw it fours times in three months, I chose one of its songs for my auditions, I used it in my final essay at college.. and nowadays I'm still doing it with my students!!!

• 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

  8. I am patient, I listen to what my students want from their lessons, I follow their voice and their needs! I want them to enjoy and relax in their lessons. I want them to come out of lesson with a smile on their face and new techniques and tools in their minds and voices!
