Riguardo Maura
Hi! I’m Maura, an Italian native speaker and Languages graduate.
I’m curious by nature and passionate about languages, travel and discovering different cultures. Having studied foreign languages myself and lived abroad, I know how exciting — and sometimes challenging — it can be to learn a language and actually start using it in real life.
I love meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing my language and culture with them. I’m friendly, patient and easy-going and I believe that learning works best when you feel comfortable enough to ask questions, make mistakes and have a laugh along the way.
Whether you’re learning Italian for your next trip, planning to move to Italy, have an Italian partner or simply love the language and culture, I’d be happy to help you along the way.
And don’t worry — I won’t judge your accent.

Ciao! I’m Maura, a native Italian speaker and a Languages graduate.
I’ve always been passionate about languages and different cultures. As someone who has studied foreign languages myself, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of the learning process: struggling to understand grammar, looking for the right words and most importantly, trying to find the confidence to actually speak.
That’s why my lessons focus on real, practical Italian that you can use in everyday life.
From complete beginner to advanced, we’ll build the lessons around your level, goals and interests.

I like using real-life situations and topics rather than relying only on textbooks. We can talk about travel, food, music, films, Italian culture, everyday life or anything you’re genuinely interested in.
Grammar is important, but I don’t believe learning Italian should be about memorising endless rules. Instead, we’ll use grammar as a tool to help you understand the language and communicate more naturally.
As a language student myself, I understand how intimidating it can feel to speak a new language and make mistakes. My lessons are therefore relaxed and encouraging. You don’t need to speak perfect Italian — you just need to be willing to try.
Every lesson will be adapted to your level and personal goals, whether you want to survive your next trip to Italy, prepare for a move, connect with Italian friends or simply fall a little more in love with the language.
