Riguardo Darlington
I am a dedicated researcher, policy analyst, and educator with a Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Bologna. Currently, I serve as a CICOPS Visiting Research Fellow and Course Tutor at the University of Pavia. My academic background also includes an M.A. in Governance and Public Policy from the University of Passau in Germany. My primary research investigates democratization, political development, and transitional governance frameworks across sub-Saharan Africa, with a specific focus on the Sahel region.
Beyond my academic research, I bring extensive hands-on experience in teaching and student coaching. I have designed and delivered intensive research methods courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding them through the complexities of thesis research and empirical data analysis. Additionally, as the Founder and Executive Director of Success Academy, I specialize in developing customized curricula to help students master high-stakes standardized exams and academic requirements. My teaching approach utilizes proven pedagogical frameworks—such as Task-Based Learning (TBL)—to ensure that our sessions are highly practical, goal-oriented, and tailored to your specific needs.
Having lived, studied, and worked across Italy, Germany, and Ghana, I bring a deeply comparative and international perspective to my political science tutoring. I am fully bilingual in English (C2 proficiency) and possess a working knowledge of Italian and German, allowing for clear and effective cross-cultural communication.
