I want to give thank you to Mr. Octavian, tutor for my son in Maths and Physics. My boy was smart but always lazy, I push him every day. Mr. Octavian even more strict, but explain very clear, many practice, never let him escape. Because of this, my son get Grade 9 in both subject. Without this tutor maybe only Grade 6. I recommend very strong, but be ready, he make child work very hard.

Octavian is hands down one of the best tutors I’ve worked with. He has a real gift for breaking down some of the CFA’s toughest topics—like derivatives, fixed income, and ethics—into something understandable and even intuitive. His approach is calm, clear, and focused, and he always takes the time to make sure the concepts truly stick. If you're struggling with the heavy-hitters in the CFA curriculum, Octavian is the person you want in your corner.

Wallah, Octavian was a blessing! My son came from the Gulf just 8 months back, and mashallah he got 9’s in Maths, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry in his IGCSEs. We’re so proud!

Highly recommend Octavian. As Russian parent, I am very impressed with their professional help. They know UK system very well and helped my child prepare everything. Because of them, my child got into one of the best boarding schools in UK. Thank you, Octavian!

Octavian is very good tutor for Computer Science. He help me a lot with algorithm, Python and also understanding logic of programming. Before I was confuse with many things, but he explain very clear and with patient. I pass my exam and now I feel more confident with code.

He is smart and friendly, and always prepare for class. I really recommend him if you want to improve fast and understand real computer science.

Muchas gracias, Octavian!

When my grandson’s confidence in Physics began to falter after a difficult year—disrupted schooling, cancelled lessons, and mounting pressure—Octavian stepped in at just the right moment. With extraordinary patience, clarity, and quiet encouragement, he helped rebuild not only my grandson’s academic strength, but his self-belief.

Octavian guided him through every nuance of the Oxford PAT and made even the most daunting concepts feel within reach. The result? An offer to read Physics at Oxford—a dream we barely dared to hope for.

We are profoundly grateful, and I recommend Octavian with all my heart.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Octavian as our son’s SAT tutor. Thanks to his expertise and guidance, our son achieved a 1580 overall, with a perfect 800 in Math and a 780 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. This score placed him in the top 0.1% of test-takers and was a key factor in his successful applications to several Ivy League universities.

Octavian’s approach is exceptionally thorough and refined. He quickly identified the areas where our son needed improvement—particularly in advanced algebra, data interpretation, and timing under pressure—and built a focused plan around them. He introduced techniques for eliminating errors, handling tricky word problems with confidence, and approaching the most complex questions with clarity and calm.

In verbal prep, Octavian helped our son deepen his comprehension skills and expand his vocabulary, while honing his ability to analyse passages critically—something that made a real difference in the reading section.

What truly set Octavian apart was his ability to motivate and challenge, without ever overwhelming. He brought structure, discipline, and intellectual engagement to every session. Our son looked forward to their lessons—not only because of the results they were producing, but because he genuinely enjoyed learning with Octavian.

For any family aiming for a top percentile SAT score and competitive U.S. university admissions, we recommend Octavian without hesitation. He is an extraordinary tutor, and we’re deeply grateful for his role in our son’s success.

Sincerely,

Jake S.

We are very thankful to him and I tell other parents also, if you want good tutor, Octavian is best choice.

I want to recommend Octavian because he help me a lot with my English. When we start, I was not confident to speak and I was making many mistakes. But Octavian was always patient, friendly, and explain everything very clear. He never make me feel bad when I don’t understand, and he always find the way to explain with examples or simple words.

We practise conversation, grammar, and also writing. My English improve very much, and now I can speak at work and travel with more confidence. Also, I pass an interview in English and I think I couldn’t do it without his help.

Octavian is very intelligent, and he knows how to teach. I recommend him to everybody who wants to learn English in a serious but also enjoyable way.

It is no exaggeration to say that Octavian Andre has been a transformative presence in our children’s academic journeys. Over the course of several years, he has guided all three of them through the demanding rigours of GCSE and A-Level Physics, spanning Edexcel, OCR, and AQA syllabi. Thanks to his extraordinary dedication and teaching acumen, each of them secured top marks—and perhaps most impressively, our eldest now reads Physics at Harvard.

Octavian is not merely a tutor; he is a scholar with a gift for illumination. His ability to bring clarity to even the most abstract physical concepts—be it quantum uncertainty or rotational dynamics—is nothing short of masterful. Lessons with him are never mechanical; they are conversations steeped in curiosity, logic, and precision.

He approaches every pupil with intellectual respect and quiet confidence, drawing out their potential with patience and grace. Our children looked forward to their sessions with him—not just for the academic rigour, but for the spark he brought into the learning itself.

In a world awash with tutors, Octavian stands apart: erudite, inspiring, and wholly committed to excellence. It has been a privilege to have him as part of our children’s education, and I recommend him unreservedly to any family seeking guidance at the highest level.

It is with great confidence and enthusiasm that I recommend Octavian Andre to the Superprof community. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Octavian during an intensive period of preparation for the CFA examinations, as well as for highly competitive quantitative interviews at leading hedge funds in both London and New York.

Octavian possesses a truly exceptional command of advanced mathematical and statistical concepts, including stochastic calculus, time-series modelling, multivariate analysis, linear algebra, probability theory, and optimisation techniques—all of which he conveys with remarkable clarity and intellectual precision. His ability to distil complex ideas into digestible insights is nothing short of masterful.

What sets Octavian apart is not only his depth of knowledge, but also his pedagogical finesse. He is patient, articulate, and highly attuned to the nuances of effective instruction, adapting his style to suit the learner’s needs without compromising on rigour.

I wholeheartedly endorse Octavian as a tutor of the highest calibre. He brings both academic excellence and professional insight to every session, and any student would be fortunate to benefit from his guidance.

Tutor Review for Octavian 100/100 A+

I had the privilege of working with Octavian, who tutored my twin daughters for their A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, as well as preparing them for the Physics Aptitude Test (PAT). Thanks to his outstanding teaching, both daughters were accepted into Oxford University.

Throughout their studies, my daughters encountered difficulties with several challenging concepts, particularly in Further Maths and Physics. Octavian was exceptional at breaking down complex topics and making them accessible.

In Further Maths, they initially struggled with topics such as matrices and complex numbers, especially understanding how to perform operations with matrices in higher dimensions and how to interpret the geometric implications of complex numbers. Octavian’s methodical approach and clear explanations helped them grasp these concepts and apply them effectively in problems.

They also found differential equations challenging, particularly the application of methods like separation of variables and solving second-order differential equations. Octavian spent time working through examples and making sure they understood how to use these techniques to solve real-world problems.

In Physics, my daughters found certain topics difficult, such as electromagnetic fields (particularly calculating electric and magnetic fields in various configurations) and mechanics (especially problems involving momentum and impulse). Octavian helped them not only understand the theory but also develop problem-solving strategies for these areas, using both visual aids and practical examples to reinforce key principles.

They also found thermodynamics and the laws of motion in a circular orbit to be tricky, but Octavian's clear, step-by-step breakdown of concepts such as the First Law of Thermodynamics and centripetal force made these topics much easier to understand and apply in exams.

What really set Octavian apart was his support in preparing for the Physics Aptitude Test (PAT). The girls were initially unsure about how to approach the breadth of material required for the test, but Octavian's targeted revision sessions, focusing on areas like special relativity, waves, and fluid dynamics, ensured they were well-prepared. His guidance on the unique format of the PAT helped them feel confident and perform exceptionally well.

Octavian’s ability to adapt his teaching style to my daughters’ individual needs and his passion for the subjects made all the difference in their academic journeys. He was always available for additional questions, provided extra resources, and went beyond the call of duty to make sure they were ready for each exam.

Thanks to Octavian’s exceptional tutoring, my daughters excelled in their A-levels and secured places at Oxford. I would highly recommend Octavian to anyone looking for a tutor who is not only highly knowledgeable but also dedicated to his students' success.

Octavian is exceptionally consistent and fair in his teaching approach. He creates a classroom environment where all students feel respected and valued, ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to participate and succeed. His grading is transparent, and he always takes the time to explain his feedback in detail, which makes his assessments feel both fair and constructive.

What makes Octavian especially trustworthy is his openness and honesty. He doesn’t shy away from admitting when he doesn’t know something or when he’s made a mistake—he embraces these moments as learning opportunities, which, in turn, inspires us to do the same. This kind of integrity is rare, and it has helped build a strong sense of respect and trust between him and his students.

In addition to his expertise, Octavian is also incredibly supportive. He goes out of his way to offer guidance and encouragement, often staying after class to help students who need extra assistance. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about our growth and success, both academically and personally.
