Riguardo Marión
Hi! I grew up in Monterrey, Mexico, and went to an American school my whole life, so English has always been part of who I am. But when I moved to the US for college to play water polo, something unexpected happened: I felt stuck. I knew the words and the grammar, but in real conversations I couldn't get my actual message across. I even became quiet, and anyone who knows me will tell you I'm definitely not a quiet person!
That experience taught me that knowing English and speaking it with confidence are two very different things. And that's exactly what I help my students with.
Professionally, I've worked in creative and corporate marketing and communications with brands around the world, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Dove, Google, YouTube, YouTube Music, Cemex and Tecate. I know how frustrating it is when you have a great idea but can't express it the way you want, whether it's in a meeting, a presentation, a piece of written copy or just everyday life.
What I love most about teaching is the moment a student's face lights up when they realize how much they've improved. The confidence they gain is so visible, and it's the best part of my job.
Today I live in Rome, where I've been for almost two years, and I'm learning Italian. And guess what? The hardest part for me is still conversation. So I truly understand what you're going through, because I'm going through it too, just in the other direction. That's why my lessons are relaxed, patient and judgment-free. Mistakes are part of the process!
I can't wait to help you find your voice in English!

My lessons are designed for adults who understand English but freeze up when it's time to speak. Maybe you studied it at school, or you can follow a film, but real conversation still feels stressful. That's exactly what we'll work on.
Each lesson is a relaxed, natural conversation built around topics that interest you: travel, work, culture, current events, everyday life. You'll do most of the talking, and I'll gently correct mistakes, suggest more natural phrasing, and introduce useful vocabulary and expressions native speakers really use. After the lesson, I'll send you a short summary of new words and key corrections so you can review.
There are no textbooks, no tests and no pressure. The goal is simple: to help you speak more fluently and feel confident doing it.
If you need English for work, I also offer lessons focused on marketing and communications: presentations, meetings, emails, pitching ideas and talking about your projects with international clients and colleagues.
Lessons are available online in Rome and suit all levels. Book a first lesson and let's start talking!
