I’ve always loved learning foreign languages, such as English and French (and Spanish too, for a couple of years).
But I’ve also discovered that teaching a language is just as satisfying — if not even more fun!
Plus, creating a lesson and sharing it with another learner — that’s who I’ve always been and always will be— makes all the hard work, even the long hours, feel totally worth it. How cool is that!

Buckle up…
Some people are great self-learners; they create a schedule, stick to it with consistency, throw in some useful AI prompts, study, practise, then study some more and…Bob’s your uncle! They’ve become fluent speakers!
I’m no self-learner, no uncle of mine’s called Bob (sorry, had to throw in a dad joke, couldn’t help it!), and AI…well, AI is a great helper in pretty much any learning process. But what about connection, a cheering motivation to keep up the work even - if not especially - when things get hard, and you feel like you're not 'good enough' or 'capable enough'?
If you, like myself, are not the exemplary self-learner and need someone to boost your motivation and give you structured learning, I would like to be the help you need to learn Italian.
Thanks to my CELTA formation, I know the methods and structures that make learning (and teaching) a foreign language efficient and productive. And, believe me, as an English learner myself, I know what worked with me and what didn't.
But I also know that everybody is unique in their own way. This is why I absolutely won't impose a method that doesn't suit your personality, or the way you are used to learning in general.
During our lessons, I would like to give you the tools that, in each and every lesson, will allow you to SPEAK ITALIAN, without long, excruciating preliminary grammar lessons (unless that's exactly what you want, in that case, I'll steer my lessons in that direction).
For our first lesson, I will let you know a bit more about myself, and I would like to know something about you too (if you're comfortable with sharing). Not only is this a way to establish a (boundary-friendly and professional) connection, but it will also help me tailor the course to your goals, tastes, hobbies, you name it!
Even though I make a point of adapting my lessons to each student, one thing will never change, no matter the students: Judgement is Forbidden, and Mistakes are Obligatory! So talk freely and make mistakes, the more the better, that's what we’re here for!
Now, let's get more technical:
I'm native Italian, born and raised.
I speak fluent English
I can teach you:
General Italian / Italian for specific purposes (Italian for business, Italian for travel, etc...)
Length of lesson: about 1 hour, adjustable
Target: anyone who wants to improve or learn Italian, benvenuti!
Medium: Online or In person
If you're more comfortable, you can bring a fellow student with you, or a bunch of friends or family, and we can arrange group lessons.

È talmente preparata che pensavo fosse madrelingua. Estremamente paziente e competente, consigliatissima sia per i principianti, sia per chi già mastica un po' l'inglese e vuole fare pratica.
Viviana è un'ottima insegnante: non posso che consigliarla vivamente.
Come docente di inglese mi segue da circa un anno e ne sono contentissima. Unisce infatti competenza e passione per la materia insegnata a efficacia e versatilità nelle spiegazioni che, da collega docente in altra disciplina, ritengo invidiabili. Inoltre è gentile, paziente, altamente professionale, ed è riuscita a costruire un percorso personalizzato - basato in primis sulle mie necessità lavorative, quindi sui miei interessi - che sta dando ottimi risultati.
Infine, è un'insegnante che, da vera maieuta, per prima cosa cerca di "tirare fuori" dall'allievo, e sempre sa trovare la giusta chiave che gli permetta di non scoraggiarsi di fronte alle difficoltà: riesce infatti a non farlo mai sentire inetto, anzi! E questo soprattutto nello speaking, dove lo scoramento è dietro l'angolo!
Decisamente economica rispetto alle conoscenze e alle competenze offerte.
Ancora, consiglio vivamente!Viviana è competente, seria, super preparata e simpatica. Sa lavorare con studenti a qualsiasi livello e prepara lezioni e materiali impeccabili! Non posso che consigliarla caldamente.
