I love to teach by looking my Students in the eyes and continually stimulating them with reality and everyday life, because few school subjects are as closely linked to current events and the Country's culture as a foreign language.
When the climatic conditions allow it, as an alternative to the home lesson, of the teacher or the student, I also love to do lessons in the open air, like on a public Park bench ...
I strongly believe in teaching, but that it must not only be notional, formal, bureaucratic. Teaching a foreign language also means helping the Student to orient himself in the political, historic, economic and social reality of the country in which he lives. And also knowing how to make comparisons with the rest of Europe and the world.
Studying teaching units, notions, schemes and lists on textbooks has little value, if one is not able to compare them with the reality of the world in which one lives, with current events and its concrete applications.
In this respect my method is very transversal, creative, engaging, multidisciplinary, made up of many questions and answers. It is an active method, which leaves plenty of room for the student's questions, curiosities, connections and insights.
We must start from the principles, which must be explained and understood, but then today the media (think only of the web!), but also cinema, can be a tool for deepening stories, achievements, progress, characters who have made an important contribution to the development of the Italian language and culture.

I have taught Italian to foreign students and workers both privately and in companies (Unicredit) and Universities (Politecnico di Milano). I accept individual lessons and lessons in small groups. Having a textbook as a basis is certainly important, but starting from direct knowledge, without shyness, to verify the real level of the Student is equally important. We can do this starting from a very simple presentation or dialogue, to understand what we already know and fix it in a notebook. From it, we will deduce, write and learn the fundamentals of the language.
