Ciao!
I am an accomplished teacher of Italian and English, certified by both CEDILS and CELTA. I've lived and breathed the nuances of language around the globe – from the UK and New Zealand to the Netherlands, Romania, and Russia. I now call the vibrant city of Amsterdam home.
ABOUT ME
My journey with languages began during my studies in Foreign Languages and Literature, and Linguistics, in Italy and the Netherlands. I didn't confine my passion for teaching to the university campus. Instead, I honed my skills in real-life classrooms, starting with private lessons for international students in New Zealand and then at South-West State University in Russia.
In 2018, I received my CEDILS certification from Ca 'Foscari University of Venice, confirming my competence in teaching Italian as a foreign or second language. I've since had the opportunity to impact youth education in Romania through the national project "Teach Romanian Youth" under the aegis of AIESEC, lecturing in Russia and starting my own language project in the Netherlands.

Unleash your Italian-speaking potential with my unique, communicative-humanistic approach. In other words, my lessons are designed to enhance communicative skills. At the outset, I expose students to authentic Italian materials. Together, we then begin to analyze specific aspects of the language, such as grammar and vocabulary. Finally, we put everything into practice, using what you've learned to discuss aspects of your life, talk about events, hypothesize, and express opinions.
The content of the lessons varies from session to session, covering a range of topics. The focus is on using the language actively. In our approach, grammar is not our master but our tool, serving to facilitate communication — a contrast to many other language courses.
My primary focus is on motivating and engaging my students. I utilize a variety of materials, which I have carefully selected and compiled to create as customized a course as possible. The materials are based on PowerPoint presentations that include audio, video, images, and text files. After every lesson, you'll receive a PowerPoint containing the lesson materials and exercises.
As you become more proficient, I will introduce additional resources like graded readers and audio materials as an EXTRA. These resources aim to further enrich your learning experience and are included in the course price.
We can discuss a wide array of topics. As someone who loves traveling, cooking, reading, listening to music, and watching films, I always have intriguing topics to explore thanks to my boundless curiosity.
