Recommendation for Betemariam

How we know each other

Betemariam and I are fellow educators who have collaborated closely on curriculum alignment and academic peer reviews for over two years. Working alongside her has given me a direct view of her exceptional teaching methodologies and her deep commitment to student success.

What kind of Superprof she is

Betemariam is a highly versatile, patient, and elite Math tutor who offers the perfect balance of flexibility through both online and in-person lessons. She uniquely bridges the gap between different academic levels, confidently teaching everyone from high school students mastering core algebra to university students tackling advanced, higher-institution mathematics. Her teaching style focuses heavily on building a strong conceptual foundation, making her an incredible resource for any student looking to replace math anxiety with genuine academic confidence.

An experience we had together

We recently co-led a transition workshop designed to help graduating high school students prepare for higher-institution mathematics, utilizing a hybrid structure of digital modules and face-to-face sessions. Many students arrived completely overwhelmed by the jump in difficulty. Betemariam took charge of the most intimidated group. Whether guiding them smoothly through interactive online tools like Zoom and digital whiteboards or working side-by-side in person, she broke down complex concepts into logical, manageable steps. Her encouraging energy completely shifted the room's dynamic; the students went from being too intimidated to speak to enthusiastically solving advanced formulas.

Why I recommend Betemariam to other Superprof members

I strongly recommend Betemariam to the Superprof community because she possesses the rare academic depth required for higher institutions, combined with the patience needed for high school learners. Her flawless delivery of high-quality instruction—using modern online tools just as effectively as traditional in-person methods—makes her a highly adaptable and convenient choice. She creates a welcoming, judgment-free space where it is safe to make mistakes and learn from them. Any student who works with her will gain a top-tier mathematician and a dedicated mentor for their academic journey.

Throughout our years working together, I have always admired her patience, clarity, and dedication to her students. I highly recommend Betemariam to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, engaging, and trustworthy Superprof tutor.
