Riguardo Ttamarra
I am an experienced English tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience, working with both adults and students. During my career, I have helped learners prepare for IELTS exams, successfully enter university, and improve their speaking and overall English level.
In addition to teaching, I have professional experience working in an international company in the finance sector, where English was the main language of communication. This allows me to bring real-world Business English into my lessons and help students develop practical skills for academic and professional environments.
I also worked as a teacher at Basswood School, which strengthened my ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. My focus is not only on learning English, but on using it effectively in real-life situations—with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

My teaching approach is practical, structured, and focused on real communication. I combine grammar, vocabulary, and speaking practice to help students use English confidently in everyday and professional situations. My methodology is based on active learning, where students speak, think, and apply the language during the lesson rather than only listening.
A typical lesson begins with a short review, followed by targeted practice based on the student’s goals—whether it is IELTS preparation, business communication, or general English. I include speaking exercises, real-life scenarios, and personalized feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
I pay special attention to building confidence and fluency. For IELTS students, I focus on exam strategies, time management, and improving speaking and writing skills. For Business English learners, I work on professional vocabulary, emails, and real workplace communication.
My lessons are suitable for adults and students at different levels, from intermediate to advanced, including those preparing for exams, entering university, or improving English for work. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s needs, ensuring clear progress and practical results.
