Riguardo Nadine

I am a Mathematics teacher with over five years of teaching experience, currently teaching IGCSE and AS Level Mathematics in Florence within the Cambridge curriculum. My academic background is in Architectural Engineering, and I completed my education in English, which naturally led me towards teaching Mathematics in an international and English-speaking environment.

I chose teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand something that may initially seem difficult or intimidating. Seeing a student gain confidence, overcome a difficulty, and eventually solve a problem independently is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

I believe that every student can improve in Mathematics with the right explanation, patience, and approach. My goal is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to help them develop confidence and a way of thinking that they can carry into their future studies.

I am an experienced Mathematics teacher currently teaching IGCSE and AS Level Mathematics in Florence. I have over five years of teaching experience and work with students aged 14–19, teaching Mathematics entirely in English within the Cambridge curriculum in Italian state schools.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding concepts rather than simply memorising formulas. I adapt each lesson to the student's level, goals, and individual needs, creating a supportive environment where students can ask questions, develop their reasoning skills, and build confidence in Mathematics.

Teaching techniques and methodology:

I use clear explanations, practical examples, guided exercises, and targeted questions. I focus on problem-solving and logical thinking, helping students understand not only how to find an answer, but why a particular method works.

A typical lesson:

Lessons usually begin with a short review of previous material and any difficulties the student has encountered. We then work through new concepts and examples before moving to guided and independent exercises. We finish by reviewing the key ideas and checking understanding.

Teaching specialities:

All lessons are conducted entirely in English and can be adapted to international and Cambridge curricula, particularly IGCSE and AS Level Mathematics. I can help with schoolwork, homework, revision, exam preparation, and specific areas of the syllabus.

Who the lessons are for:

I teach Mathematics in English from Primary School through High School, approximately ages 7–19. Lessons can be tailored to students who want to strengthen their foundations, catch up, improve their confidence, or prepare for Cambridge IGCSE and AS Level examinations.
