Ruben heeft veel ervaring met lesgeven en dat was gelijk te merken. Hij begeleide mij erg goed in het proces naar mijn toetsmoment toe. Met de hulp van Ruben heb ik mijn toets weten te halen!

Ruben has been my Italian tutor for over a year and has been excellent. He's a very personable tutor - friendly and encouraging which makes the lessons always an enjoyable experience. His lessons are well structured and cover all the key fundamentals of speaking, writing and listening. Ruben is patient, and is always willing to re-explain and/or use other techniques and examples to help me develop areas of weaknesses in my Italian. He is an expert with languages and so is great at explaining the quirks and nuances of the Italian language using examples of similarities or differences with my own language (English). The lessons contents always feel new and interesting. I am very happy with my progress in Italian and I'd highly recommend him to others as a tutor.

If anyone is worthy of the “Superprof” title it is definitely Ruben.

I love learning languages and it is one of my favourite hobbies since the last twenty years. Starting with English, then Spanish and French and now Italian with Ruben. I have had a lot of different teachers during that time and I can honestly say that Ruben is by far the best teacher I have had during this journey of studying languages.
What is so special about him?
First of all his personality. He is very positive, funny and patient. He is the kind of person you wold like to have as a friend. And having fun is very important in my opinion when you are learning a language. And it will for sure keep you motivated.

Then Ruben is very well organized and prepared. He works for example with a shared folder where he puts in all the material he uses in the lessons so that you have the possibility to review them afterwards. He will also evaluate your language level in the beginning and ask you about your goals in order to adapt his lessons accordingly. Those might seem to be small details but I cannot tell you how often I have met unstructured and unprepared teachers in my life. So these seemingly small details make the difference.

He also uses a lot of different tools and media so that the lessons are never boring. He works with short videos, music tracks, newspaper articles a.s.o. wich is really entertaining and bringing your language skills to a new level.

Last but not least Ruben is a guy who will not only help you to achieve your language goals but you will also learn a lot about other things too as he is interested in arts, history and is well informed in general. So you do not only learn about the grammar stuff like the “passato prossimo” but also about the italian (and other) history and it’s culture. Every time after his lessons I have not only learned something new in Italian but also something new about life in general ;). This is something that make his lessons truly unique.

I hope that I could convince you that Ruben is the true Superprof. He sure is it already for the students he has ;)

Ruben is the best teacher I’ve had so far. His lessons are super entertaining and address the improvement of each linguistic skill. His material is diverse and insightful. Together we read articles, talk about latest news, perform role play and do grammar exercise. He’s both a linguist and a teacher which is why he can easily manage the explanation of any aspect of the language. Highly recommended!
